MEL LIVES ON At the age of 95, Mel lives on. I received an email from Mel's son. It said Mel is in the hospital. The doctors said he had a massive heart attack and his body is full of cancer and he was going to be released to hospice. I was saddened with this devastating news. I left immediately to go to the hospital expecting to see a man who is "half dead" and in state of semi-consciousness.  I got to the hospital, looked up one of Mel's favorite Bible verses and proceeded to the room in the heart ward of the hospital. I entered Mel's room and he was there with his wife and son and a lady who was going over the paperwork for home hospice care. To my surprise, Mel was lucid, signing the papers, listening and understanding everything about the hospice care. WHEN YOU PRAY,  To Whom Are You Praying? How Are You Praying? INTRODUCTION – JESUS TEACHES US “HOW TO PRAY” In the Book of Matthew, Chapter 6, verses 5 to 16, Jesus provides us with His instructions on prayer. In those verses, Jesus says 3 times, “When you pray” .   Thus, prayer is not an option.   It is a requirement, a commandment.     Jesus also tells us what to do and what not to do when we pray.   He starts and ends with what we are not to do, and between those don'ts, He tell us what to do.  And after that, He tells us that our Father knows what we need. ·       First,  Jesus tells us NOT TO be like hypocrites doing what they do.   They love to be seen by others .  And Jesus says that’s all they will get, being seen by others on earth. ·         Second,  Jesus tells us TO GO into a private place and pray to our Father .  Though Our Father   is unseen , He will see you .  Note the parallel to being seen by people and being
