HOUSTON, TEXAS WAS THE FLOODED CITY

HOUSTON, TEXAS

BEING SO FAR AWAY from Houston, with no personal contact yet from anyone there, it seems so . . . . . . (I don't have the words) . . . . . . . maybe it's an inability to grasp the devastation without seeing it up close.

IT STRUCK ME THIS MORNING when I heard a report about "communications" in Houston. There is hardly any. No cell phones, no land lines(?), what else . . . likely no electricity, no utilities . . . .
IF ONE HAS a radio with batteries, they can get info from the outside. A radio with batteries? Everyone USED to have one.
PEOPLE lost everything, EVERYTHING.

SURELY, WE DON'T KNOW what could happen in the days and weeks and months to come. How will people subsist? Food, water, clothing, transportation, jobs, businesses, medical needs . . . . . How will people get re-established?

SURELY, THE ENTIRE NATION MUST gather around Texas, its people, its places, its spiritual atmosphere, its government, to meet the needs that are present and future.

TAKING TIME TO THINK about this is necessary. It immediately takes me back to last Sunday when I heard the below song . . . . It speaks of this:

... Jesus was so connected to His Father that
... ... He went where His Father said to go.
... ... He said what He heard His Father say.
... ... He prayed what He Heard His Father pray.

OH THAT WE WOULD BE SO CONNECTED, so in tune, so on the same frequency as the Heavenly Father that . . . . .

... Where He goes I go
... What He says I say
... What He prays I pray

THAT MUST BE POSSIBLE, because He calls us to follow Him.

Let us ALL commit to this . . . . .

... Where You go I'll go
... What You say I'll say
... What You pray I'll pray

... I WILL GO    where  YOU GO

... I WILL SAY   what   YOU SAY

... I WILL PRAY  what   YOU PRAY

"WHERE YOU GO I GO"
Brian Johnson, Jenn Johnson
Where You go I go
What You say I say
And what You pray I pray
And what You pray I pray

Where You go I go
What You say I say
And what You pray I pray
And what You pray I pray

... Cause Jesus only did what He saw You do
... And He would only say what He heard You speak
... And He would only move when He felt You lead
... Following Your heart following Your spirit

... So How could I expect to walk without You
... When every move that Jesus made was in surrender
... I will not begin to live without You
... For You alone are worthy and You are always good

Where You go I go
What You say I say God
And what You pray I pray
And what You pray I pray

... So How could I expect to walk without You
... When every move that Jesus made was in surrender
... I will not begin to live without You
... For You alone are worthy and You are always good
... You are always good

... Oh, the beauty of Your name will be seen upon my face, Oh, God
... Oh, the glory of Your name will be seen upon our face, Oh, God

... Though the world sees and soon forgets
... We will not forget who You are and what You've done for us
... And what You've done for us
... And Though the world sees and soon forgets
... We will not forget what You've done for us

Where You go I go
What You say I say God
And what You pray I pray
And what You pray I pray

... I will follow You,
... In this desert life, I will follow You
... Whatever comes my way
... Through every situation, I will follow You

... To the unknown, to the unsaved
... Give me a heart of no compromise

What You say I say
And what You pray I pray
And what You pray I pray
