WHAT GLASSES DO WE HAVE ON?

There are 2 ways to see this world.
1.   Through our Physical Eyes

2.   Through our Spiritual Eyes

EXAMPLES

1.   With Physical Eyes,           we see a man nailed to a cross, bleeding and dying.

2.   With Spiritual Eyes,          we see the Son of God, the Savior, saving man from his punishment of sin and restoring his relationship to God, His Creator.


1.   With Physical Eyes,           we see people gathered having a fun time, laughing, drinking, flirting, drunk with wine and beer.

2.   With Spiritual Eyes,          we see people ignoring God's truth and involved in reckless sin that destroys their lives.


1.   With Physical Eyes,           we see revenge being served with justification for wrongdoing.

2.   With Spiritual Eyes,          we see unforgiveness because someone was emotionally hurt and offended.


1.   With Physical Eyes,           we see the news reported daily, hourly, constantly, reporting on the virus of the day, telling us what we must do to stay alive, instilling fear and self-preservation in people.

2.   With Spiritual Eyes,          we see that "God works all things for the good of them that love Him and are called according to His purposes."  No matter what happens, God is in control and will provide for His people.


1.   With Physical Eyes,           we see a person talking to us about religion and we are uncomfortable about our space being invaded.

2.   With Spiritual Eyes,          we see a Christian speaking to us about the Gospel having been commanded by Jesus Christ to "Go and make disciples" because God wants us to accept His Son as Savior gaining us Eternal Life.


1.   With Physical Eyes,           we see President Trump continually attacked because of his words and actions that are not agreed with and we see many people being destroyed emotionally, financially, and physically because of being trapped in a false accusation.

2.   With Spiritual Eyes,          we see President Trump surrounded by Christian leaders praying for him and leading the country through the nation’s changing situations.


1.   With Physical Eyes,           we see people calling others racists, bigots, xenophobes, liars, idiots, morons, dangerous, stupid.

2.   With Spiritual Eyes,          we see Jesus saying, "Let he who is without sin cast the first stone."


1.   With Physical Eyes,           we see our own opinions that are self-righteous, self-formed, saying we are right and others are wrong.

2.   With Spiritual Eyes,          we see what God says about things as we read the Word of God, the Bible, and our beliefs are formed by His Truth and not man's opinions.


1.   With Physical Eyes Only,  we are Spiritually Blind.

2.   With Spiritual Eyes,          what we see in the Physical has Spiritual Significance that we are led to. What we see in the Physical is only a symptom of what is happening in the Spiritual.


1.   With Physical Eyes,           we see them say that all religions lead to a higher power.

2.   With Spiritual Eyes,          that is, with True Spiritual Eyes, we see that Jesus is the only way to Salvation and all other ways are false.  Jesus said, "No one comes to the Father except through me."


WE MUST VIEW OUR WORLD THROUGH GOD'S TRUTH.  TO DO OTHERWISE IS SURE FOLLY.

JESUS SAID THAT HE AND HIS DISCIPLES WERE IN THE WORLD BUT NOT OF THE WORLD. MEANING THEY ARE NOT CONFORMED AND SHAPED BY THE WORLD BUT CONFORMED TO AND TRANSFORMED BY HIS TRUTH.
